FALL SEASON NEARS END AT DN WITH BUSY FALL HARVEST TOURNAMENT

By Bob Behre

The fall season is winding down to a precious two weekends as the beefy Fall Harvest Tournament bring 56 teams together at Diamond Nation.

While three age groups will compete for championships, the 16U event is the highlight as 28 teams will vie for titles in two separate brackets.

The 16U Fall Harvest opens play with three games at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The feature opening matchup has the NJ Giants squaring off with Baseball Warehouse 2021. The three-day 16U tournament builds to the playoff rounds on Sunday.

The 16U playoffs begin Sunday at 4:30 p.m. with the 2 vs. 3 seed game in the Yellow Bracket and the White Bracket semifinals. The two finals are set for 6:30 p.m. The Yellow final is on Field 3 and the White championship game will be played on Field 4.

Wladyka Baseball, Bell Ringers Prospects, Sportika Gallagher Select, Browns Baseball, the Diamond Jacks Super 16U, Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy Prospects, Frazier Sox and the Pa. Shockers help form a  formidable 16U field.

The 14U Fall Harvest kicks off at 6;30 p.m. on Friday with a pair of attractive matchups. Power 5 Baseball faces the Diamond Jacks Super 14U squad and the Hit And Run Outlaws encounter the Diamond Jacks Gold 14U.

The 14U playoffs begin with the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. and the championship game follows at 8:30 p.m. on Field 1.

The strong 14U field boasts such dynamite programs as the Tri-County Braves, Pro Skills Baseball, Jersey Boyz Baseball, Frazier's Downtown Academy, New Jersey Nationals and the Bucks County Generals.

The 12U Fall Harvest is blessed with a visit from our friends from the north as the North Stars from Quebec, Canada play the Diamond Jacks Gold 12U team in one of two tournament openers at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Proswing TPS Future, fresh off a runner-up finish in last week's Fall Brawl tournament, plays the Bergen Thunder.

The 12U playoffs open at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday when the 2 vs. 3 seeds play at Field 2. The winner advances to the championship game opposite the No. 1 seed at 4:30 p.m., also on Field 2.

The 12U Fall Harvest field is a good one, too, boasting such quality teams as the Long Island Panthers, MVP Blue Jackets, Doylestown Tigers, the Diamond Jacks Super 12U squad and the Richmond County Baseball Club Nationals.
