Grayson Meyers has made numerous trips to Diamond Nation the last few years while competing for Bucks County Generals teams.
Meyers has not only enjoyed those experiences, he’s also gone home with a near handful of first-place awards along the way.
Grayson was back at ‘The Nation’ over the weekend with the Generals 11U Black team, who were taking part in the 11U Spring Fever tournament.
As nice as the prior visits went, this one was even better.
For starters, Meyers never before hit a home run. He ended the tournament with four, including a three-run shot in his final at-bat.
Secondly, he left with another championship award, as the Generals registered a 10-3 victory over the Diamond Jacks Super 11U in the final.
Lastly, he also left the complex with a first-ever tournament Most Valuable Player award, after hitting safely in all five games as the Generals went 5-0 with a 60-22 run differential.
The Generals, now 19-3 in 2026, also beat the DJacks, 6-4, in the final of the April Fools tournament last month.
Meyers went 6-for-12 overall in the Spring Fever, with four of those hits going over the fence and another resulting in a double. He also scored and had an RBI in every game, with seven runs and nine RBI.
Additionally, he was the winning pitcher in Friday’s pool play opener, an 11-8 triumph over the Diamond Jacks 11U Gold, in which he allowed two runs over 4⅔ innings.
“I had to just stay focused on each game that we were playing,” he said. “It’s a great feeling to get my first MVP and hit the first home run of my entire baseball career, and now I have four.”
He hit one home run in each of the remaining four games, beginning with a two-run blast for a 10-4 third-inning lead in what became a 12-7 victory over Elite Black 11U on Saturday.
In the championship on Sunday afternoon, the Generals took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first after Joey Murphy singled to center field with one out and Dmitry Huff followed with a two-run homer to left.
Grayson Meyers of Bucks County Generals 11U Black was named 11U Spring Fever MVP.
The Generals extended the lead to 4-0 in the second. Matteo Cundari led off with a single to left. He stole second before moving to third when Mason Leary hit a ball that dropped in left field for a one-out single. Leary stole second before Mason Pape hit a two-run, two-out single to right on an 0-2 pitch.
The Generals added two more runs in third. Murphy led off and was hit by a pitch. Huff was up next, and hit another home run, this one over the fence in center.
Huff was another power-hitting standout for the Generals, going 2-for-3 with four RBI in the final, and 9-for-13 in the tournament with 12 runs and 12 RBI, with four home runs and a double. Like Meyers, he hit safely, scored and drove in runs in all five games.
“I’ve been hitting pretty good,” Huff said. “I’ve really just been looking for pitches to hit.”
The DJacks, who ended the weekend 4-1, closed to 6-3 with a three-run bottom of the third.
Jaxon Shah led off with a single to shortstop. After a strikeout, he stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Michael Botti had perhaps the biggest at-bat of the frame by working out a nine-pitch walk.
Chris Durso was up next, and hit a first-pitch RBI single to left. After another strikeout, Aiden Spisso hit a ball that landed near the right-field corner for a two-run double.
The Generals created plenty of breathing space by scoring four times in the top of the sixth.
With a runner on first with one out, Aiden Torpey hit a grounds rule double to right, and Meyers capped his unforgettable weekend with a three-run home run to right field.
Grant Goldman singled to center, moved to second on a ground out, and Cundari followed with an RBI single to center for the final seven-run margin.
Torpey pitched all six innings for the win, allowing three hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks.
