Ryan Bush steals third base for MVP NY 2026 Scout in the Blue Chip Prospect showcase.

Cillian Morrissey came to Diamond Nation this week feeling not particularly satisfied with his summertime hitting.
The outlook, though, has changed during his play at the Blue Chip Prospects, Powered By Victus, tournament.
“It hasn’t been the greatest summer of all-time,” he said. “I had a really good high school season and then the bat slowed down a little bit. But I’m starting to pick it up now.”
Morrissey, who has had success at ‘The Nation,’ in the past, has achieved it again at the BCP event.
Case in point: On Wednesday afternoon, he hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the seventh as his MVP NY 2026 Scout team beat Performance Baseball/CT Bombers, 5-4.
Then, on Thursday morning, hit a go-ahead two-run blast in the bottom of the second as his team went on to beat the NJ Rising Rebels 2026 Scout, 4-3.

Cillian Morrissey snapped a HR drought, going deep in two straight ABs over two games for MVP NY.
“The one (on Wednesday) felt really good,” he said. “It was my first in a couple of months. And then I hit another one today. I was in my head a little bit, and now I’m kind of in a flow state.”
MVP NY came back to win in that Wednesday game, and it allowed a run in the top of the first against the NJ Rising Rebels.
Colin Fogg drew a leadoff walk for the Rising Rebels, and stole two bases before scoring on Ryan Luo’s one-out sacrifice fly to center.
MVP went ahead in the second inning.
Matthew Lineman led off with a walk, and he stole two bases before Morrissey hit a one-out home run to deep left for a 2-1 lead.
“It was a 3-1 pitch and I just jumped on it,” he said.
Tristan Garcia was up next, and he walked on a full count. He moved to second on a wild pitch before Matthew Pasfield hit an RBI single to right-center. An error on the play moved Pasfield to second. Ryan Bush was his courtesy runner, and he stole third before scoring the fourth run of the inning as Aidan Roman reached on a strike-three wild pitch.
Jack Scannapieco was in control on the mound for MVP NY, taking a three-hitter into the top of the sixth. He then issued a two-out walk that was followed by two errors that loaded the bases. He then got a foul out to third to end the inning.

NJ Rising Rebels 1st baseman Dylan Furtado takes throw from 2nd baseman Colin Fogg for an out.
Escaping that jam did elevate his pitch count heading into the seventh, and the Rising Rebels began that inning with singles by Ethan Yerow and Shane Hoover.
At that point, Roman relieved Scannapieco. A double steal followed, before Tyler Garretson hit an RBI ground out to shortstop. With Hoover now on third, Dylan Furtado hit a sacrifice fly to right.
Danny Haggard and Nolan Bruno followed with walks, but a fly out to Garcia in left field ended the game with the potential tying and winning runs in scoring position.
MVP NY finished with three hits against the Rising Rebels combination of Brady Smith and James Doehner. The final four innings belonged to Doehner, who allowed one hit, with seven strikeouts and one walk.
Yerow and Hoover both went 2-for-3 for the Rising Rebels.
