Diamond Nation is proud to announce it has launched a partnership with Pennsylvania-based organization Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS).
Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) is the leading nonprofit organization that works to remove equipment as a barrier to participation for underprivileged and at risk children on a global level.
Over the past nearly 20 years, PIFBS has expanded programming and partners to help nearly two million boys and girls play ball in every state in the U.S. and more than 117 countries internationally. Diamond Nation is proud to join PIFBS’ efforts by placing a bin at our facility where our customers can donate equipment.
The goals of this partnership are:
Ø Increase awareness for this tremendous organization
Ø Raise money to help more kids access this game we all love
Ø Collect gently used equipment that will be included in PIFBS’ equipment grants
Pitch In For Baseball & Softball will be at the School’s Out tournament on Saturday, June 22nd from 10am-6pm.
PIFBS will have some really fun raffles (a brand new Wilson A2000, Demarini “The Goods” USSSA -5, and Demarini CF -10) and lots free giveaways, so make sure to visit their tent and learn more about their amazing mission to ensure that all children have the required equipment to play!
If you have unused equipment laying around, stop by Diamond Nation’s permanent collection bin near Field 1 and make your donation. All gear collected goes to PIFBS’ warehouse in Warminster, PA to be inspected, sorted, and included in their equipment grants which support the highest-needs children in the U.S. and around the world.
“Venues such as ours not only have an opportunity to change the lives of underprivileged kids, but they have a social responsibility to do so,” said Nick Massari, Executive Vice President of Diamond Nation. “We are committed to keeping this great game alive at the youth level, and partnering with PIFBS provides us and our customers another outlet to help that cause. No kid should have to forfeit the opportunity to play a game because they cannot afford it,”
